I consider myself a patron of the arts. (I mean, just look at how I donate $300 each year right here so that other voice actors can get work!)

But seriously, as lucky as I am to live so near to NYC, where I go to shows with some regularity, my heart belongs to regional theater, that I used to do years ago, and that most of my actor friends still do. And both amateur and equity companies alike have such a wealth of talent, it is mind-boggling, and such a cultural blessing for everyone outside of major urban areas. So I support them whenever I can.

Two of my favorite theaters are the Hudson Valley Shakespeare in Garrison, NY -- and Cape May Stage in Cape May, NJ.

I recently had the pleasure of seeing a one man show, FULLY COMMITTED, starring Tim Williams, an exceptionally talented actor. I mention it to all you fellow voice actors, because, although it is a stage play -- it is so VO.
This man is on stage for an hour and a half of high energy voicing -- he does 40 voices, playing a restaurant reservations manager, manning a busy phone, going back and forth between all these voices seamlessly, with stop on a dime precision -- all ages, genders, accents. Convincingly and flawlessly. I was blown away.

Just thought I'd give it a mention, if you live in the area -- it''s well worth seeing -- and supporting!

And while I'm plugging stage shows -- if you're in the vicinity of Ogunquit, Maine, a dear old friend of mine, and super talented actor Stuart Zagnit, is doing a musical show based on the music of Neal Sedaka. He's the funny guy!
