Hey, look!, we're all the way up to two pages and it's only Friday!
Jeez Marilyn, a Chain Saw! How do you contend with that? I'm sure you don't want anything bad to happen......like a tree falls on him or something.

Marilyn:
I consider you to be very attractive, so please don't take offense, but's eerie how much your facial expression on your new avatar resembles the emoticon you selected! But don't go changing your avatar, it's fine.
By the way, guess what I heard outside my window just a little while ago. Yep.... a chain saw!

I just saw the second part of your comments...A CHAINSAW... oh no...hopefully your neighbor will just be a 'great pretender' too and be on to something more interesting soon...

Fortunatley, nobody in my condo association has need of a chain saw, as a hobby or otherwise. This is generally a quiet place except when cars and trucks charge up the hilly side street just outside my window, which isn't too often really. There's a wooded, brush-filled parcel across the street. I think (I hope) the chain saw was a one-time event.
As for my last posting, take the first two phases and read them a few dozen times over before you read the rest of it again. You're not twisted and evil, OK?

Did anyone see this from TOS?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're looking for a voice that can be "our voice" that we use in most, if not all radio and TV ad voice overs for the foreseeable future. Male. Somewhat distinctive--we don't really want a voice that sounds like something you hear every day. Friendly, welcoming, down to earth...a guy who is "everyone's neighbor". Almost buoyant and somewhat high-energy (but not someone who drinks a red bull every two hours).
Someone that comes to mind is Tom Bodett from Motel 6, but not nearly that hillbilly-ish.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who knew Tom Bodett was high energy? All my warped mind could think of was Ben Stein doing Monster Trucks!

at least there was a voice discription... albeit lengthy...and extremely specific...I hate the leads that don't give ANY direction...

Marilyn,
That's funny - a chainsaw hobby!
People next door live on a steep hill, and they have decided to create a retaining wall of boulders to stop erosion in their front yard.
What a racket!!
Fortunately, my studio is on the end of my house away from the noise and it hasn't created a problem so far.

You're lucky! and hopefully the noise won't last much longer...I think this guy is doing this just to annoy me now...could be c'uz my kid set off fire crackers in his yard one 4th of July... about 10 years ago!!! What he doesn't know is his kid lit a fire in my garage the same year....
I must remember 'love thy neighbor'...

Marilyn:
That duet with the chain saw is a riot! Incidentally, it's an old joke among golfers, when a ball is hit into the woods or the shot is blocked by a tree, someone will ask "Got a chain saw in your bag?"

Hi Marilyn, I just measured your noisefloor on the Golf Spot at about -6dBFS. Pretty good for pro vo work. I think there's some kind of buzzing noise in the background, almost like some kind of a powertool. Definitely not an electrical hum, but you might want to check your wiring.

"The Ten" project is back. This time they changed the intro VO specs - from "Rod Serling" to "Real Housewives". This time they gave me a "5" - on that one, the last time, I appeared to be the only one to get a "4". The other two auditions here for the same project got "5"s, - The same as most every one else.
