Hi! I'm from Australia. Just want to say what a pleasure to be a part of this site. It's good to hear so many different voice talents competing in this field like the stars in the galaxy! Some years back I did a voice-over in a professional studio but have no knowledge of the equipment (or the capital) to have one at home. So this forun is quite helpful to get started.

You've probably heard of Don LaFontaine, the movie voice-over king. Check this site. It gave me a perspective of how competitve and interesting this business is. http://www.shorttext.com/0gnj5e.
Good luck and God Bless you all!

Hi Arlen.... Yup, I'd say most of us are familiar with LaFontaine. We're all waiting for him to retire so ONE lucky one of us can fill his shoes/mike. As if! The link you posted is apparently not working. Can you check it again? I'd be interested in seeing what it said.

Blessings!

Yes Todd-
Anime voices for gigs where they have not budgeted any money for VO talent.

No wait that would never happen. I need to keep myself grounded in reality.

Great clip and very funny. Seems like a real down-to-earth guy. Anyone able to tell what kind of mike he's using in his home studio?
