If he really sounded just like that? I like it! You should put that voice on your demo. Your natural speaking voice, Colin? I could listen to you all day!

What kind of mic are you using, by the way?

My "equipment" (no jokes please) is a Shure KSM32 (a "large diaphram condenser") into a Symetrix 528e voice processor (a requirement in my opinion) into a LynxOne PCI audio card, into Adobe Audition. I also use a Sampson PS01 "popper stopper" to kill the popped P's and T's and other gross mouth noises. I was a radio Production Director for 20 years and have a technical bent, but again, that "doesn't make me a talent." I am so frustrated trying to get away from my 9 to 5 and do this (my first love... voice over and production) that I am going nuts! Thank you Phyllis for the complement!

Ah... I get you two mixed up. I guess from a marketing standpoint I would say "you need to differentiate yourselves." Man... does that sound "cocky." Sorry. And... Amy, sorry for the mixup. I notice that you are doing very well on the other site in the "hot 100." I keep slipping. I have a feeling that the ranking system over there is based on how many you answer mostly.

The ranking system is based on a combination of:

How many people have rated you overall
The average ranking you have received
And ???

I have not noticed any impact of number of auditions answered on my personal rank. I'll be in a studio across town for a few days and not answer anything, for example...

Hello Amy, hello Collin,

sorry, but what "other site" are you talking about? Is there more to explore on the U.S. internet for VOs? Here in Europe we only have a few VO sites (veeeeeery slow) online, so I'ld be interested in knowing any other possibility to offer "Kraut"-services on the net (Hey, noticed? we're not competitors für unsere mädels ...

It seems that if we type in the name of "that other site" it gets sripped out so I will post it so it is not a "link."

Let's see what happens.

That's amazing. I typed it without the dots and it still didn't come through. How about other website. Let's see just how smart this software is.
