| Hopefully I'm not out of line asking this. In your opinion, which of these sites--at this very moment--are worth a premium membership? Which of those is the best, and why? |

I currently have premium memberships at Voice123 and Voices dot com. So far, based upon my experience of the past 6 months to 1 year, Voice123 is in the lead by a fairly wide margin. _________________ For more voice over demos, my life story, and other foolishness, please visit my website at www.leegordonproductions.com |

Last year I made several thousand from one client who pulled up my page on search function at v123. While I continue to get repeat business from folks who found me through 123, this year I'm not getting new business at the same rate so far -- and I don't see that happening since I can't audition for all that I would and am allowed to audition for those things I wouldn't touch. It's really slowed since S---Cast.
Over at voices, I only booked 2 jobs the entire year last year; so far this year I've booked 4 or 5 I think.
So either way, it's not at all a significant amount, but right now voices is better for me. |

Thanks, Lee. So you are referring to overall experience, # of leads, # of jobs won, a combination...?
Right off the bat, I personally would say that this forum is a big plus for the home team. I don't know that voices-com has one.

For me, V123 gets me the most work that I audition for. I've only ever landed a very few over at Voices but my profile has been found over there by production companies who have hired me directly to work for them. And Stephanie C. is just about the nicest person out there. Any time I have ever had issues, I get a fast, personal response. Money-wise, V123 has done the best overall for me, but the service and search function at Voices has worked better for me than V123's current ones. _________________ Life is short but sweet, for certain

Combination. At Voices I have sumbitted more than 500 demos and have been contacted maybe four or five times as a result. And of those contacts I have landed exactly one paying job.
At Voice123 my success rate is about 4-5 times higher -- about one job for every 100-125 auditions. Plus I have gotten several jobs from repeat clients.
So in my case, Voices has just barely paid for itself while Voice123 has paid for itself many times over. _________________ For more voice over demos, my life story, and other foolishness, please visit my website at www.leegordonproductions.com |

| Melba and September, thanks for your feedback too. So it sounds like just the big two pay sites then? Or do you subscribe to anything else? And any good free sites? |

voices-com and Voice123 are open sites - you pays yer $ - you get to play - no qualification screening. Other pay sites are invitation only. There is a recent sticky that covers this in lots of detail over at www.vo-bb.com. You might want to check that out. Too much to retype here. _________________ Connie Terwilliger - New Yorker Cartoon
