Okay so over a month ago I decided to go out and snag me a part in a student flick called The Awkward Ones! This was done with some BCIT film students. My character is a stoner... a very confused stoner haha And the films message is that everyone is nerdy in their own way.

I usually CRINGE when I see the final cut of student films. Editing, timing, sound quality, filmed in digital yada yada they're pretty fresh with these things (plus BCIT is geared more towards newscasts aaaand they have a grueeeelling schedule). Now I haven't seen the entire flick yet, but this small clip I can honestly say is done well (for a student film). Just my opinion though. I just hope the rest of the film is broadcastable with the editing.

The scene is just after zack (elf ears) attempts asking my sisters partygoers (jocks) upstairs to turn down their "degrassi high" party music because we're having an intense dungeons and dragons session downstairs (geeks).

Soooo enjoy... And hey, did ya buy it? Did I entertain ya? Whaddaya think? How 'bout dem other characters?!

bonus points to whoever can name who i gave a tribute "shout" to at the end of the clip...

I have to say that's uncommonly good acting and pacing on the edit for a student film. Each of you seemed real to me. I'm impressed. And you are just cute as a button, Simon! Laughing (sorry, dude!)
