After last week's cavalcade of children on L & R, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email this morning from an audition on TOS that I had my 4 year old try out for last month. HE GOT HIS FIRST GIG!!
It's a short video piece where he's playing the part of a puppy or a kitten (not sure yet).

I'm one proud Daddy! Very Happy

We record the session this Friday... if given permission I'll post it!

Very, VERY, VERY cool, DAVE! (and son!)

My son has had a couple of paying gigs and it's such a great feeling. I posted a couple of auditions he and I did together last week for leads on voices-dot-com that I'd LOVE to see him get.

Although I'm still a very proud Daddy, I just received a message this morning that said my son was actually 1 of 3 they were considering and they ended up going with a different kid.

Their initial contact made it sound like it was a "done deal" so I'm a little surprised.. but it's all good. Now... to tell my son he won't be able to buy new Legos with the money... well... he may want to take legal action against the company! Laughing

Actually, when we told him about what had happened this morning, he couldn't have cared less... although his older sisters were a little irked.

Honestly, I wish I had his attitude when I don't get gigs.. or worse, land gigs and then have the client end up hiring someone else.

"What? I lost the huge gig that was going to cover all the future college tuitions for my kids, pay off my house and pay for the eventual weddings of my daughters? Okay. Can I go play on the Wii now?" Laughing
