| when you haven't heard from your agent in three weeks and when you email them they don't respond? is this how agents go about telling you they don't want you anymore? |

No, you have nothing to worry about. There may not be anything in development or pre-prod right now that is right for you. Or maybe the pay offered isn't right. I checked your profile and since you've got a film in theaters right now (which we loved, by the way...you did a great job!) the agent may be playing that for all it's worth to get you better, higher-profile work.
Hold on, sweetie...you'll work again...and again...and again. I just know it.  |

I cannot FATHOM an agent NOT wanting to have Laura on their roster.
If you find your agent is ditching you, call me. I'll change my career, become an agent, and take you on as my first client.

Not hearing from your agent in 3 weeks, though not a great sign, isn't totally uncommon. Things can get slow. If you do many genres of VO-commercial, promo, trailer, narration, animation, etc., you probably won't go 3 weeks without hearing from your agent. If it's slow in one area it will be busy in others. But if all you do is commercials it might be slow for your category/sound.
I'm more concerned that your agent didn't respond to your email. That's not slow. That's bad business. |

Have you tried picking up the phone and giving them a call? We oft forget that really, that's a good way to get hold of peeps.
Not that I make a habit of calling my agents when I don't hear from them, and I don't think it should be, but...
Give 'em a call to say, "Hi, just wanted to make sure you received my email b/c I didn't hear back."
