Why can't I have a clean name like that?
ITA with Erik and Melba. Clever, professional, and straight to the point. Great logo!

Know how you can tell it's a great logo? There are a zillion of us saying to ourselves, "I wish I'd thought of that."

That there logo has googleability.
Like Lee, I know when an idea is good when it enrages me that I didn't think of it first. I just threw my scribbled logo of a fox in a biplane eating a frosted donut into the circular file. I'm really ticked off right now. Great job!
With my name I could go with the Blair=Blare homonym "Blair out your message!", but sheesh, that's the last thing you want people to think of with vo. Maybe I should be a minor league baseball PA announcer with that name.

Or "Lance" -- hit the target -- or to the point. Or get rid of that unsightly boil. Okay, maybe not.
But the mental picture of a fox in a bi-plane eating a donut actually is amusing. Thanks for that!
The good thing is, you and Bren have wonderful, strong, yet beautiful names. Two one-syallables with a B at the beginning of one of them. Your names make you sound like you're movie stars or athletes or characters out a a bodice-ripping novel. I sound like someone's Australian bubbe.
I return you now to your regularly-scheduled topic.

Okay, let me be blunt here.
The logo reminds me of something older. It's not as "hip" as some of the newer stuff I've seen out there.
That's why I like it. It's neat enough to catch your attention, works in b/w, works as a logo, on a card, stationary, etc. and is simple enough to last for a long time.
I've been thinking about something similar for my own logo, but it wouldn't have been as simple and direct as this (which is why I decided to to use it).
Smart, fun, gets the point across. This is one of the better logos I've seen in my travels.

LOL...some people who don't know me ask me if I'm an author.
Having two first names "Elton John" syndrome really stinks though.
Especially when absent minded people who first meet me call me "Blair". Blair? Yo! You Dissin' Me?

Hi Brenny Hill,
I like it because like others have said it's clean and to the point.
Very easy on the eyes!
For mine, I was thinking Weak Audio, but for some reason I don't think it would do me any good. Years ago I guy suggested I use "John Weeks Booth". I'll get back to the drawing board.

yeah... simple, attractive, memorable.
Good job!
...and not a negative word here, which is pretty good.

Bren,
Overall, quite nice. It's almost there IMHO. Just so you'll know, my wife (a 3D animator for the Weather Channel) and I ran a graphics/web business for a number of years and created a LOT of logos ( http://spasticlizard.com/logos.html ).
I DO like the clean looks, the simple, bold colors, and the GREAT 'subtlety' of the "voice bubble". Thank GAWD you didn't use a microphone!
But it's like an unmade bed. You need to snazz up the text treatment for the name. Something like this to give it personality. As it is right now, it's NICE, but a bit bland. Kind of like a pancake when it COULD be a crepe'.

Sorry, Scott, I like the original better. It's so clean and simple that I don't think it needs to be pumped up. Besides, the true genius of it is using the "V" in "voice overs" as part of the speech balloon.

Well we are all certainly free to disagree, Lee. Art is subjective, isn't it? As is logo design. I didn't change the 'V' in voiceovers. I LOVE that part. The ONLY thing I changed was the font in Bren's name, but ultimately it's her call, of course.
One thing I DON'T like about the font all being the same with, essentially, the same spacing in Bren's design is that it almost looks like one word: Brenhill.
