Doug, just a quick reaction since I'm up at the radio station today (where I do a p/t on-air shift) and had to give this a quick listen down the hall in one of the production rooms.
Overall I like it a lot!
I really like your voice on this with two small exceptions:
- your breaths are really noticeable and pronounced. I do NOT believe in eliminating every breath from a piece of audio, but when they're big, gulping ones that call attention to themselves, they need to be downplayed. I'd highlight them and reduce them by about 6-8db
- at the VERY end when you said something to the effect of "and you'll be there" the final word(s) were sloppily said/slurred, putting a bit of an audio bruise on what is otherwise a really well-done piece.
I was debating whether the music was a bit overpowering, but since I really didn't have any trouble hearing your message, I'm thinking it's okay.
Did you write this? It's a VERY clever script, one that I liked a lot.
Good job!
