I'm just breaking into the business. At this point, I'm the talent and the production house too! Any comments on my vocal performance and recording chops will be most appriciated. Thanks!
Doug

Here's my take on it. I think you could do well to pull music/sfx down just a bit. Seems to compete with your voice. It's a guy thing, isn't it? Wink

You've got sort of an old fashioned announcer guy voice, which is cheesy in the spot whose copy you wrote, but funny in the restaurant spot. You exhibited some nice character there. Also, I liked the light tenderness in the Cancer Center spot, but you almost got a little announcer-y at the end, didn't you?

I would really work on further coaxing out your pesonal side to further develop your real person and character reads and make your straight reads more conversational, more real guy leaning into my ear and giving me the scoop. Keep the old announcer guy as a character. But when you're being straight with me, be real. Listen to Tom Pagnotti and Scott Pollack (did I spell it right this time???) They got it goin' on, baby. I hear the potential in you, too!

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Dang. I did not.

But you don't need to know how to spell his name to hear he's good. Very Happy
