Finally got something I've been wanting to dip my fingers into for a long time now; an audio book. Yes, yes, I KNOW it's hard and proportionately there are higher paying gigs out there, but some things you do for the love of them and I'm happy to finally get my foot in the door. Plus this was a V123 lead. I'm attaching the audition.

I think it was the "Glashtichire" (sp) that sold them. LOL.

Just kidding Scott. Way to go, good job.

I've ALWAYS wanted an audio book too. Closest thing I've done is charity reading of the Reader's Digest for the blind. It's a blast.

I did an article on bottled water in the latest edition.

Way to go Scott. Have fun with it.

We'll talk to you next year when you're done. Smile

ROFL!!!
This is a short one, Erik. Probably less than an hour of finished audio.

Kudos, Scott! That's great! It seems as though that seeker had posted two different short stories around the same time... are you doing both?

That sounds like a perfect way to ease into doing them. At least if it feels like drudgery you don't have 10 more hours to go.

Nice.

They DID post 2 projects that same week, Dave, and I responded to both. As far as I know I only got this one.

Have they raised their per-word rates at all? I did one for them maybe 18 months ago, relatively low paying, and despite the ol' "more work down the line", I've not gotten any further response from them.

Congratulations, Scott!

Those folks are very easy to work for. My first audiobook was from them, and there has been a steady stream of work since October. Smile

Way to go!

I'm so glad you're getting to do something you've been wanting to do! The money is good, but fulfilling a dream is priceless! Way to go! Smile

Upon further reflection I was not out to be the killjoy, glad you have gotten something you enjoy and that it's working out!
