If he's having problems with ambient background noise he should be working closer to the mic, not further away from it, but watch out for plosives. If the recordings come out too hot simply turn the preamp gain down. Having examined his recordings he's got a long way to go before he has to worry about them clipping. |
if you read my post again carefully you'll see I stated it's what "I" did ...and I also stated his results would vary according to his room and vocal delivery.. from what I gather, his vocal delivery is conversational, mine wasn't when I recorded with this particular mic.
bottom line is your working in an acoustically bad room with a very inexpensive Chinese condenser... |
