Hey, Michael... a suggestion? Please post one, maybe two, here so that folks don't have to jump back to your page, give a listen, THEN come back here to critique. Make it as easy as possible on folks and you'll get more response. Thanks.

Hi Michael,
I just listened to the first one. You have a fresh friendly tone to your voice....You actually sound more warm and fuzzy than Scott. (and that's saying a lot)
I was a bit disappointed in the first read though. I could hear you holding back. I wanted you to take a risk...to let go....like a baseball announcer who gets rapped up in the game and starts shouting with excitement as the ball goes out of the park.
Having said that you have a nice controlled happy friendly voice that is very charming and provokes trust. If you added some good acting to spice it up it would be even more powerful.
Well that's my humble opinion anyway.
Deby

Well actually the narrative was way better than the commercial. You still have it Scott! Your commercial demo is better......but there is something very warm and fuzzy on the narrative one that he did.
Anyway Scott, what does my opinion matter. Your always posting stuff in the got the gig section. You know I'm fan.

I guess rather than feeling sorry for myself I ought to really offer some helpful feedback to Michael, eh?
(Oh, and thanks, Deby. As always, I very much appreciate it.)
Let me start by saying that what I'm hearing here is very, VERY good. I'll have to disagree with Deby, though, on the warm and fuzzy. But what I DO hear is a wonderful balance between a professional delivery and a very likable voice. So I'm not hearing warm and fuzzy, but I AM hearing a NICE guy delivering these pieces, a voice I can trust, someone who is being honest with me, not trying to sell me something. Like Deby, I preferred the narrative piece, but there's still good stuff happening on the second demo. And like me, Michael, hardsell isn't your forte. The Tabasco piece was your weakest.
You have an extremely sellable voice. It's not too big, not too weak. Has an interesting texture to it and a lot of personality. And you obviously can deliver copy well. I like it!
(But I'm going to cling to my 'warm and fuzzy' title for now with clenched fingers!!)

Scott, Deby,
Thank you so much for your critique of my demos, I do appreciate it. And thank you for the laughs you gave me reading your messages to one another. I thought I was going to be the reason for the first cyber VO divorce. Yes Scott I do agree I am not built for the hard sell...well many thanks Deby and Scott
