I've said it in other places, but let me say it here.
TAKE THIS COURSE!!!
Regardless of whether or not you want to do animation, Bob's techniques teach you to be a better actor and VO talent (if you take what he says truly to heart, a better person as well). Most of what I do are industrial narrations and I am just now branching off to do more commercial work. What I've learned from Bob has been an immense help in taking that next step forward.
Now his tears don't cure cancer, so Chuck Norris still has some leverage on him , but working with Bob in his workshop is one of the best things I've ever done when it comes to acting and VO in particular. |

Ok....I could take a train to boston....I could get a hotel.....I could even pay for the deposit.......but $650 for two days? I'm not saying that Bob is not worth it......I'm just wondering how I can apply for a scholarship!!!
The heart and soul are so willing.....but the checkbook is just not able. |

Sorry to hear you won't be joining us, Deby. I definitely understand priorities. As with all things, I have to work with what I'm given and believe it or not, Boston is a little pricier than NYC. I have personally paid more for comparable sessions in the area, but Bob's workshops are a worthwhile investment. If that weren't true, he wouldn't have a 3 year waiting list for his L.A. classes. _________________ Greg Littlefield

| Well actually his class at the Edge in NYC is only $500 in May......as far as I can tell it's the same 2 day workshop. (I've done my research) |

Actually, the May workshop is not the same. The Edge May workshop is an advanced class. The one I did last year at Edge was the same workshop as the Boston workshop.

well I signed up today for the class in May....I told them to charge my card right away so that I can not spend the money. I look forward to seeing you in May Bob........although I'm going to have to wake up extra early to make it to NYC.....so hopefully I'll be somewhat awake to learn something.....
Ofcourse I haven't taken the intro class....

Well I'm glad you'll work my face off.....Now I guess I just need to hire a personal trainer to work my butt off.
I know you think I'm joking ....but actually a good character demo and at least 2 inches off my hips are my New Years resolutions. |

At one workshop I took in Austin, one role I did as an exercise called for the character to be absolutely winded, so the instructor made me do jumping jacks for a few minutes. Worked like a charm, but I realized how out of shape I'd become. That's when I had a long talk with pizza and ice cream and told them I was breaking up with them.
It wasn't them... It was me...

Well, I gotta tell ya, all joking aside, I've seen actors get replaced because they were huffing and puffing at the mic due to being out of shape.
An animated series is a 4 hour session where they have you for at least 2 voices for scale. An animated feature is an 8 hour session. Ya gotta have the stamina to be at your best.

I agree! This was my resolution this year and it's working out very well so far. Maybe we'll see personal trainers as part of future VO workshops.
(note to self: gotta do something about that "Voice seeker" account... Not sure how I ended up with that one...) _________________ Greg Littlefield
