Finally....I can actually sigh. Like so many here, I havent had a job since Smartcast. This wasn't through Smartcast, but a direct lead from a client.
They first wrote to ask if I was able to provide a 90 sec voice over for a power point presentation and record it using Camtasia. The client heard my narration demo on V123 and said it fit exactly the tone they wanted.
I hadn't used Camtasia in the past, but I am always up for a challenge. Of course they had the script and needed it done two weeks ago. LOL
Sent them the first demo take and they accepted the voice no questions asked. I just had to tweak some of the slide transitions.
Anyway, just wanted to share with the group. _________________ Scott Paxton

That's wonderful, Scott. I've had more direct leads lately, so perhaps they have improved the search feature ... or it could just be that the planets have aligned properly.
Congrats and enjoy, _________________ Diane

Scott, I remember auditioning for that one because of the reference to Camtasia, which I'm not familiar with.
Glad to hear your drought has ended! If THIS Scott couldn't get it, I'm happy ANOTHER Scott did! _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Scott,
I found Camtasia very easy to use. Just imagine it as a camera that records whatever your doing on your computer screen. Then you place an audio file under it or record one while you doing a demo.
I hope that makes sense. In the past I would import video files into Vegas 6.0 and move the audio around to correspond with the video frames.

Way to go, Scott.
(Somehow, I've gotten used to typing that phrase...)
You lost me with the Camtasia stuff but no matter; you had me at that "at last I can sigh."
