Holy cow Deby, this is really, really good.

Breathy, then strong like the original. You even doubled it up perfectly.

Wow.

hi Deby!

Your vocals are great, I don't think you need pitch correction at all. Really good job! 2 daumen hoch
But if you want it perfect, I think the mix isn't quite right in the chorus, I'm not a good engineer so I can't tell you how to twig it, I can just hear that the music is not present enough, the backing vocals/lead vocal balance isn't exactly right and it's lacking a big "humph" due to the backing track itself.
I'm sure someone like Colin would make it sound awesome.

Thanks guys...

The thing is....this has no reverb.....no pitch correcting. It's been engineered by moi (and I don't really think of myself as an engineer).

Putting this out is kind of like going to the mall with no make-up and no clothing on.

I mean does this window need curtains to dress it up....or should I leave it bare to let the light shine in.

Which is better organic oatmeal or processed, baked oatmeal raison cookies?

Am I making any sense what so ever??? keine ahnung strichauge

there's a reason why people spend months in studio recording their albums, well cooked is better than raw! Wink

Really good job I must say. Think if was going to find some pitching problems they would be in the first verse, "don't tell me coz it hurts", in the second chorus and "I know you're good" section at the end.

Nice job.

Hey Deb,

It sounds GREAT. But I do agree that you might work on the mix a bit, the vocals are just a little high almost all the way through. And in the bridge it kind of sounds like you have the harmony in the primary track and vice versa? I could be wrong!

Besides that the vocals are fantastic, you've got some PIPES kid!

(said in Edgy Rockstar Deva voice) Look if the lead guitarist will just quit complaining about how my black vinyl pants are too shiny and stealing his spotlight then he may stay.... Not talking But if they all don't turn down their amps I'm going to replace them with more Sound Choice CD's.....LOL

No really, I hate it when they expect me to be willing to go DEAF just so I can make peanuts at the local bars.

You are on key most of the time Wink. Overall it's good for not spending a whole lot of time producing/spicing it up.

These were the only minor things I heard. They weren't bad by any means.

I don't have any time indicator on stupid quicktime so I am just going to have to base this off lyrics.

-I believe it's the last verse when you are sining "no....no.....dont speak." These are when the "no no"'s progress down. The last "no" seems to slide into it's final note versus stepping through each note it lasts for.
-The "I know you good" parts sound a little uncontrolled. Specifically when you say "good" on each note. I know the original slides on "Good" but I think the peak note you are hitting in "Good" may be slightly flat.

I only post this to be nit picky, not to be mean. I actually have no idea what you are using this for anyway so maybe my critique doesn't even matter Razz.

Did you just do this for fun?
