Hi guys!
I wonder if one of you has got a miracle answer to this one:
Do you know how to extract a video file and a voice file from a PC video game?
I'd like to make a video game demo with the games I've voiced (audio demo and video demo), but I haven't got the files. I can buy the PC version of the games, but I wouldn't know what to do with it.
I had a look at games I've already got and there are no files that look like a dvd file.
Any idea?
Cheers!

ps:I'm on PC and I've got adobe audition 3 for sound and adobe premiere pro 2 for videos

Claire, this may or may not help you. I'm on Cool Edit Pro 2.0, the precursor to Audition.

When you're in the edit mode, click on "File -> Extract Audio from Video". I've found that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, depending on your source.

BTW, I still haven't gotten my new cd to print yet. Waiting on my cash flow to ease up. Not to worry; when it's pressed you'll get the first copy!

Claire,

Once you have the game, you could use "Camtasia" or another like screen recorder to capture the vid and audio, then export to MPEG/AVI/MP3. Programs like Camtasia just record what being sent through the bus....and save it to a file that can be exported.

I use an old version of this software...

If your PC can play it, it will capture the sound to an audio file.
