First demos..thoughts?

I have been working on some demos from my home studio. Have been a musician and singer for all of my life and have delved into production in the last 4 years. Several months ago I decided to give voice-over a go and have enjoyed immensely making these demos.
I have done commercial, trailer, narration demos and have included a 60 second mix of the three. Hope you enjoy them.. Smile

The old 'Toss 'em so Many that They'll get Confused and Ignore Me' ploy almost worked, but here I am.

And glad of it. I listened to only the Commercial and Narrative bits, and largely enjoyed them. Well done.
Your range and playfulness shimmer through.

I had a difficult time making out exactly what you were saying at times, most noteably after "People are good together" on the Commercial (something about Broadband, no?), and I suspect you may have a tendency to be slightly clipped through almost-set teeth, but that may just be some weird Aussie tic.
You'll find that an accent - any accent - will greatly impede your job opportunities at voice sites. The majority of Seekers - by far - are regionally small-market, and are as far from adventurous as Tasmania is from Toledo.
Be very selective, would be my advice.

Thankyou for your comments. The issue of accent is a tricky one for us poor ol' Aussie VO's (thank God I wasn't born in Scotland). The phrase after "people are good together", was intentionally subtle as the commercial was emotional however, I think I may have mumbled it a little too much.
Although it is commonly advised to keep your accent neutral in VO, I am yet to hear an english voice without an accent (guess we'll all keep striving!).

Just refreshed all the demos with exception of the narration. Hope the 'Orange' section is more comprehensive now..
