Gang:
Howzabout we all upload our favourite audition of the day?
It'd allow us to hear what our peers are up to and - sometimes - even compare takes of the same text. I also see it as a continuing way to gauge our progess, or lack of same.
Anybody want to play?
Since it's quieter than a mime convention these days, I only submitted one today. I was Number 83.
It may not be a favourite..but it is an only...
Happy 2007, Fellow Voicers,
Robert Jadah

Robert,
As I am new to this industry and definitely have no idea as to the tec stuff yet, I was wondering how you created that echo effect? There's probably a tec name to what I'm asking so please enlighten me! I have had 1 lead in the 2 past weeks so audition practice is limited. Thanks guys, this post helps me to see how different voice over interpretation can be.

Hey Guys,

I think the audition of the day is a great idea. Sometimes I find the voice instructions from the clients to be conflicting, if not vague. This gives us a chance to hear our fellow talents interpretations. I'll toss mine on from yesterday!

Allen, John, Victor, and my favourite old nemesis Scott:
Hope we can keep this demo thing going, 'cuz it sure is uber-cool - almost eerie - to hear so many variations of the same text. No wonder this pursuit is so complex.
And imagine the array the clients have to wade through!
Now, I only wonder what the other 84 entries submitted....
Happy New Year, all...and let's hope 2007 gives us zippier scripts, better articulation of what the client wants and, above all, more Private Leads than we can humanly handle.
(I, for one, will steer my excess business your ways.)
Voice On!

Just to keep the ball rolling....
saw 44 had auditioned for this puppy, despite it being listed as a Generic but with a stated Custom Demo requirement, yet without a script.
And won't do it within the budget, either. And then the client pulled it. But times are unbearably slow, so....
(Whoever gets it, ensure you get paid up front.)
Cheers,
