I think, Crystal, that you have wonderful and dear friends.
Hold on to them.
The Christmas and Nature bits on the Narrative demo are by far your strongest presentations. I'd hold off on the commercial biz for now.

| I only listened to the first 2 spots on each. The narrative was better than the commercial.

Hi Crystal!
Well, I think you have a great instrument there but you need to find better music to play and a sound engineer to mix it better. Your voice has a very cool texture to it. A semi-thick gravel that I think could go over very well. But those scripts and the mixing of voice and music aren't going to get it done. I think your voice is worth the investment.

I like the texture of your voice. You have a slightly unique sound to it that reminds me a bit of Kathleen Turner (most definitely a compliment). One thing that just drove me nuts about these demos was the fades between cuts. Get rid of those. No one does that anymore and it slows down the movement of the demo. Keep the demo moving from cut to cut to cut... bang/bang/bang!
Not having read your profile, I have no idea what the extent of your training may or may not be. I think you are quite good with a lot of potential, kind of like the proverbial diamond in the rough. What you have here is good, but just needing that little polish to push you over the top. Invest just a bit more in some coaching and training to help you pull that last 10% out of the scripts, then, like September said, pay for a better-produced demo, and I don't think there'll be any stopping you.
I really love the sound of your voice!

Thank you for all of your replies and suggestions. I had no idea my demos were so out of date. I am not surprised that I myself need more pratice and coaching. I have been in and out of performing arts in one form or another since I was a kid. I was never able to stay involved due to one life crisis or another. I have finaly reached a point in my life where I can focus on my craft. A "diamond in the rough" I have always liked that expression, after all a diamond is the strongest of Crystal forms.

Great voice. Demo only needs a slight remix. The engineering is fine, just the balance that's off here and there. (By which I mean the music is too loud on some cuts)

| Nice one. Have to agree I like your voice and I thought the production was almost there too. You should stick with it and I thought you breathed life into those scripts- whatever they were on about..
