Hi everyone,

I'm new here and pretty new to voice acting. For now, I'm basically just hoping to pick up the occasional bone throw. There is a demo on my page. It's not much, but I am all ears if you're willing to comment.

Anyhow, just saying hello!

Peter

Hey there, Peter!

You won't get many people bothering to go over to your page and listen...most refuse to listen to anything that isn't attached to the page where you're saying "hi". I did click through, and you've got a nice enough voice; but it's a good thing you're not worried about getting much work, because you're demo isn't pro-sounding at all and the music bed could be a bit irritating. Don't get me wrong -- your voice is pleasant and you seem like a charming guy. If you ever get to the point you want to take it more seriously, this forum is one of several good resources for getting info on all things voice over.

Have fun and I wish you well in all you do!

Thanks for the welcome and the tips Melba! I may not want to use voiceovers as a career, but I certainly want to get better at it, and just lurking on this forum is helping a ton.

Yeah, the music is there right now to add a little substance to the demo: I don't have a lot of variety or experience yet so it would be a grand total of fifteen seconds long otherwise. I guess it's a little high in the mix too. I'll take it out or bring the level down significantly when I rework the demo.
