Hello everyone!

My name is Paul - I'm from the UK and am very new to this game. Please be gentle! Embarassed

Voice-wise, I started out doing customer announcements for a superstore where I worked part-time after school. It was there someone told me that "I should be on the radio" - I'd never considered using my voice for anything before, but the more I thought about it, the more I loved the idea. After a year or so as a writer and presenter at my Uni radio station, I moved into Hospital Radio services where I do much the same but do lots more work on promos.

I do hope to one day further my radio career, but before I'm shouted at, I'm well aware that voice industry is far wider than the radio world! I'm very exited about being able to move into this industry and am keen to give it a good go!

Currently, I'm waiting for my first professional mic to arrive in the post! If anyone has any tips that they'd like to share, I would love to hear them!

Happy holidays!

Paul. Smile

Welcome, Paul. If you haven't yet read the 'sticky' over on the "Newbies" forum labeled "Random Thoughts for Newcomers", please do so.
