Hello!

I'm still relatively new in the biz. I've had a few paying gigs and have enjoyed some success with voice123. I'd love to hear what some of the seasoned pros have to say about my demo reel.

Thank you in advance for your support!

-Scott!

You have a great "hard-sell radio guy" voice!

I would say if the demo has any flaws, they are technical: I could barely hear your voice during the 99.6 (?) radio promo (your voice was getting drowned out by the music) and there is a wide fluctuation in level from piece to piece.

Check out MY demo (it should come up in my reply) and let me know what you think!

The demo tries to do too much - it is so easy these days to make a separate demo for voice mail stuff and for commercials.

Your real advantage is the ability to speak Spanish. That is marketable - although female Spanish speakers with their own studio are probably THE most marketable right now.

Back to the demo.

The first cut is OK - just - but it isn't much different from the news open.
The second cut sounds out of your range.
The News at 10 is fine.
Catch a break is too short - is there more?
Incredible offer - again - out of your range - sounds forced.
Outstanding Teen - almost out of your range - try moving the sound forward a bit in your head - it is coming from very far back in your throat and it loses its roundness and fullness.

The voice mail stuff - "available" is hard to say - you really need to be warmed up.

Listen to the way you pronounce the Spanish words - you move things a bit more forward and then drop back in your throat again for English. And again - do a separate voice mail demo - and try to find material that has variety - in pacing, attitude, mic proximity, style of writing...do a day spa and a tatoo parlor...for example.
