I recently had an amazing conversation with a someone who is opening up a brand spanking new talent agency. Now while nothing has been finalized yet, it looks like he wants to add ME to his roster of talent! Man oh man am I excited!

Let's see now, that would bring the number of agents representing me to . . . drumroll please . . . 1!! That's right, my first agent! HOOOO HAAAA!!!!!

How did I get this agent interested in representing me? I can't be 100% sure, but I firmly believe that the Law of Attraction, A.K.A. "The Secret" had a lot to do with it.

So what the heck is this Law of Attraction stuff about anyway?

Well, unless you've been under a rock for the last several months, there has been quite a lot of hullabaloo about a program called "The Secret". In "The Secret", a long list of prominent people including the likes of best selling authors John Gray (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus) and Jack Canfield (The Chicken Soup books), teach about the Law of Attraction and how they've used it in their own lives. The DVDs and Books have become runaway best-sellers and been featured on many talk shows including Larry King Live and Oprah!

A while back, I received some information about a two hour audio program (and full transcript) describing a rather practical approach to learning about the Law of Attraction. This program only costs 7 bucks, heck, I spend more than that on lunch!

So, if you're interested in finding out what The Law Of Attraction is, how it works, and how to get it working in your own life, this may be pretty good place to start.

To get the Law of Attraction information, click here.

As far as my new agent goes, I am hoping to hear from him very soon so we can finalize the deal. It's my intention that nothing will prevent that from happening (that's LOA stuff), but keep your fingers crossed anyway. I can use all the good vibes I can get.

Congratulations Joe!!! Ride the wave... there's more to come!!!

We had the Law of Attraction conversation here a few months back, and it became quite the controversial topic. I will just say this... I'm with you. I even have a great big vision board in my studio. Good stuff.

Good vibes to you!!! Smile

Hey Caryn,

Based on some of the posts I've seen recently, I guess LOA and your vision board is helping you attract some great stuff in your career too! You go girl!

P.S. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your branding with the little baby chick with sunglasses. How did you come up with that? Did you work with someone on that branding idea? I really need some help with mine.

Thanks Joe!!! I like to believe it is. Honestly though, September was a horrible month for me. But, I just kept auditioning (I auditioned a lot in September) and it all worked out.

If nothing else, having a positive attitude just makes you feel good.

Thanks for the compliments on my branding. Actually, I thought of it myself, if you can believe that. I have a bit of a marketing background.

I just thought of words I used to describe my voice (and yeah, everyone uses hip), and what am I? I'm a chick... and I often refer to myself as that, for example, it wouldn't be uncommon for you to hear me say, "I'm just the kinda chick who likes to eat McDonalds, what can I say?"

And, it's about my voice.

Then I just got to thinking and put them together... at first I thought of the song "Hippy Chick" but that's completely different... just doesn't work for me. Then I thought well, maybe a cartoon pick of a cool, sexy girl... but I found too many vo's with that kind of theme (I really like Sydney Rainin's site). So then, I thought of it kinda literally... hey, a chick, a cute, but kinda sorty sexy chick with lips, sunglasses... cool looking.

It works. I told the designer what I wanted, and here we are. Well, ok, it wasn't that easy... the first designer couldn't do it. The second set of designers came up with the current design. It took 4 months.

I think the chick will get a facelift next year though... I'm not crazy about the font my name is in, and the chick, well, she just needs to be polished up a bit. The whole thing needs a polish. I have to find a designer that can do it though... THAT'S the problem.

I'm actually going to trademark the phrase "The Hip Chick Voice!" and variations of it.

Hey Kat, thanks!
I like your branding a lot too. Very hot silhouette! MEOW! Cool I see you are represented by Airwave Talent. How do you like it so far? Also, I like that phrase "The Kat Vox" you used on one of your sites. Clever! You should try to do some more with that.

Caryn,
If the brand is working for you, I wouldn't change a thing. If not then by all means, go for it. I like it lots though. It's got just the right mix of cute and sexy.

Let me ask you ladies a question. How would you describe my voice? Here is a link to my demo and here is a link to a video I did not too long ago that shows another side of my voice. Does any thing come to mind by way of branding when you hear my voice?

I'd really appreciate your help.

Hey Joe!

Thanks for the compliments.

I have The Kat Vox from some time ago and it kind of was a "Half Baked idea" for a brand... I was thinking of having two divisions and just haven't done it yet. (Since, I really am focused on launching 1 division well first! lol) As it evolves....down the road.....I'll be sure to let everyone know. Thanks for taking the time to find that.

I'm excited to be a part of AirWave Talent, especially since I am amongst some really great talented people. It's too soon to evaluate my financial gain, but I feel that my representation will be strong and competent with Vic.

As for your voice....yes, something came to mind. You sound like a soft hearted family man. There's a couple images I searched for and this is kind of an example of what you sounded like to me......BEFORE I heard the video!

So, maybe the guy can be wearing a tough guy shirt with a chain holding a baby?

I don't know.

You have a huggable voice. I'm not flirting....it's just the only way I know to describe it.

Does that help?

I LOVE that! Joe Rodriguez . . . a huggable voice. Maybe a Teddy Bear logo? Thanks Kat for taking the time to listen and give feedback.
And yes, you should put that Kat Vox idea back in the oven and see what comes of it.

September, thanks so much. I have been watching your posts with much interest. Congratulations on manifesting that MTV gig and signing with all those new agents. You've been an inspiration to me. By the way, Have you ever considered using just "September Day" as your professional name? It's just SO memorable. Makes me want to change my name to Ray O'Sunshine just to compete!
