Here is the Egypt one. It was suggested a Sean Connery impersonator might have an in. I had never tried and did not try very hard to be exact but I was born and lived in Edinburgh for my first 12 years but that was a long time ago. But I felt ok about the read.

I am having problems with low volume levels of the reads and have tried to raise them but I fear may be causing some problems. It may be time to get another computer.

Any comments/critiques greatly appreciated as will stop bombarding various friends not in the bus with large attachment emails followed by my eager phone calls.

Pretty good stab there, Edwin.
I'd say, though, that this is one of the countless postings where the directions make less sense than, say, Smartcast...or Belgium.

You may have been better served with a strong Oldfield than a weak Connery. It had a good Scot brogue to it in parts (which makes absolutely no sense in a promo for Egypt, for goodness' sake; what's their next project: Jet Li narrates Siberian Strip Mining?), but was also harmed by processing which brought every lip smack and tick into hear-ability.
Can you not record at higher levels, rather than apply mammoth gains in post?

There were, however, nice flashes of drama, and an overall passion (too much, mayhap?) to the read.

Voice On!

Many thanks Robert, much appreciate your comments that are great food for thought.

I will get my technical friend in to look at how to get the recording levels up, and try not to follow directions as much in the future.

Here's a couple that got me going for this Monday the 22nd of October. Said that for posterity.

Let's make this a memorable week, good or bad.

Well gotta go, got a hot phone date with that Day girl in Florida. Think she can help?

Craig

Not often we get asked to whisper, sometimes can be tougher than a good scream!

Robert... in the States we call them "NE-SONS" not "NI-SANS." Just FYI.
