Hello Khristine,

My two cents. What we can recommend is to keep it very professional and simple, mention your experience, recording capabilities, turn around time, etc.

The letter needs to reflect a professional, reliable, confident and experienced talent.

Hope this helps.

Kris:
Something very short and simple, such as:
Enclosed please find my latest voice-acting demo which, I hope you agree, reflects a refreshing and ear-catching tone. Please note that I am well able to .........and ......, as well as ..... and ......
More examples of my work are available at ........
I can be reached at ......, and look forward to working with you and your customers on projects in the near future.
Thank you for listening,
blahblahbl

The demo will sell the product, and few agents will take time to read more than a few sentences, if that.
Good Luck,
Robert Jadah

The only thing I'd add to Robert's excellent suggestions would be to add a sentence at the end that says: "If, for any reason, my voice talent doesn't fit what you're looking for, might I suggest you try Scott Pollak......?"

Wow, thanks Bobbie!

You've added to the flotsam and jetsam of my Sargasso sea of a brain...

From here forthwith, you may only refer to me as "Halyard Jib Cunningham, the 15th"!

Yare! (or "good" as it were),
Joe

Bobbie: Personally, I think you should get a prize for using "liquidy" in a sentence.

LOL..... liquidy, eh?

Flotsam is debris naturally floating in the ocean; things like driftwood, dead fish, parts of a wrecked ship, etc. Jetsam is material that's been jettisoned from boats to improve buoyancy (hence the name JETsam).

motz oh, BTW voices-com v have a favorites thing where the client flags thier faves and I guess they only listen to thier fave talents? The group never sees a lead again until they want something new or the talent croaks? (God bless 'em)......I'm just saying.
