We are thrilled to have you, I'm somewhat new to these forums as well (joined post SmartCast). There are 2 things I remind myself everyday...

1. There is not another woman on Earth that was raised the way I was, talks with my same patterns, AND has my same tone...therefore I have no competition.

2. (I think I've mentioned this one before) Life ain't nothin' but a pig show. If you've ever shown pigs at the fair, there is never a rhyme or reason why one pig wins the blue ribbon and one doesn't. It's just the way it is Smile

Yup- there is some crazy good talent on this board!

It's been a while since I checked out your profile and personal website, and I just did again moments ago, and both times you got me smiling from ear to ear...everything about you and your delivery is happy. I can see/hear why you get hired. Pat Fraley? Holy animation skills, Batman.

Sorry for the threadjack...but here is a funny story...
I was working on air for Radio Disney when they told us they were bringing in a guy to teach us how to do character voices. It was to be a series of seminars. I had no idea who he was. In the first class, Pat was charming as ever, and when he did the voice from The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I was hooked. I knew then that animation was where I wanted to be. It took me 10 more years after meeting Pat to completely get radio out of my system, and now I'm focused on VO full-time. I owe it all to Pat...I love that guy!

Oh, I just went and listened to your demos, what a beautiful delivery you have!

I'm workin' hard to unload years of broadcasting (still in biz...gotta pay the bills and feed the dogs).

I often wonder who is getting the work on some of the jobs that "we" audition for. On most of them, I guess we may never know. Some are interesting, like the Glupod thing in last week's thread. There were some great reads.

Most of my work comes from local TV and production companies. I'm trying to make the V123 work. I'd love to do this full-time. I audition everyday.

Kara, Please email me a fraction of your talent...I promise I won't bug ya for another thing...honest.

Colin: Nice delivery on the BF spot. It's really something to hear you turning OFF the announcer voice lately. I was stunned to NOT hear production behind it, but it's a nice change to JUST hear your voice! I submitted for that, too, but am not going to post it here today.

Nelson: Big Fish is an agency that some of us occasionally get some leads from.
