Getting a new cover design done. What do you think? Normally, I'd have my number on there but I might be moving soon and wanted to wait to add it.

I really have a hard time reading your name in the script font. The line about "voice over artist" (I've forgotten already what you have there) interrupts your given and surname. Try something bolder with straight lines, maybe?

I love the font -- very classy -- like you!! Maybe just bigger would make it stand out more, or a slightly different color (but I like the color scheme very much, perhaps more autumnal hues in there?) The overall effect is elegant, very feminine, and most importantly, fits your voice image.

Hi there!

Ok... honestly? I don't like it. I can't read the font, I don't like the mic, don't like the background dots... there's just way too much going on there.

Sorry, I get a little opinionated about these things with my background.

I really really REALLY like your current design. I think it's sharp. Why the change?

And, just wondering... with all due respect to your current name (uh, my maiden name was Slovenski... thank goodness I married a Clark!!).... have you ever considered going by September Day... to go with the fall leaves, etc... I think it would be cool. And your voice is (among sexy, yes we know that) cool, crisp, refreshing... like a September Day. Wink

Thanks girls!

I'll try a bigger, bolder font...maybe make it red? Maybe make the "S" and "L" of my first and last name the only scripts. Good ideas, you lot!

Caryn...as to my current cover, are you talking about the avatar I use here in the forums? It's not mine. I found it on the web long ago and I have never been able to find it again. If I used it without the owner's permission, I could be in deep dog doo. I wish I could though, I love it! And I thought about the name change, but I've got a ton of stuff out there as "September Day Leach" and I'd hate to lose that momentum. AND ...you are so sweet!! I like being described as crisp!! Laughing

Actually, I was referring to your web site design/font used there. I think it's fabby!!!!

BTW, I always feel the need to add this little disclaimer... while I am way familiar with design concepts, my logo isn't the best example. I'm not a graphic artist, but I play one on TV... ok, maybe not, but I've worked in the marketing biz for a long while.

M, I kinda agree with Caryn, I'm afraid... It'saaaaa... little too much. But it would be a great Celine Dion-cover! Or something for Disney Very Happy
Ah no, seriously, I agree the font can be a bit hard to read. It's almost too "nice" and classy. The microphone, well... it's ok, I guess, but maybe a bit of a cliché (?)
Basicly, I like the idea, it looks beautiful, but maybe needs to be toned down a notch.

You hate me now? ängstlich

Jacob! There is never any hate! In the end, it's my choice anyway but I wouldn't come here posting it if I didn't want real feedback Wink I truly appreciate it when anyone takes the time to post an opinion!

I don't have a problem with the font, but I agree with Melba, "Voice Professional" needs to be moved so it doesn't appear as if it's part of your name.

I'd go ahead and put the Top part of the "L" right into the bottm part of the "S".

I agree. The font competes with the background. It's hard to read.

I'm also not fond of "voice-over professional." It's overkill. And it's stating the obvious. "voice-over demo" is fine.

The CD art needs to look younger, like the septembervoice website.

With the frilly gilded script, I'm expecting September to be a Wizard, not a hip and lively vo talent.

There's too much microphone and sizzle, not enough Autumn Leaves, which ought to be first and foremost.

It's very pretty and there's a lot of thought put into it, but it doesn't work for me.
