To Ms. Z.... I noticed your first name starts with a B....I can think of another word that starts with that letter too. Since you do not sing or write music, let alone accompaniment I really don't give a fig what you think. Wink

I'm sorry, but I've held my tongue just about as long as I can here.

Bettye, your profile says 'teen voice'.
You obviously are not.
I'm sure there are those who do teen voices who should get those invitations.

Why are you so bitter??

Allen- you are so right about turning negatives into positives.

umarmen

I've gotten a lot of private messeges on this. I would like say that if I posted this in the Critique my Demo section I most likely would have ignored the comment or just said "Well that's helpful and encouraging"

I do apologize for losing my cool and not staying "above the fray". It's just that one of the reasons I posted this is because others here auditioned for the job. I was number 35 out of I don't even know how many. That comment was not just insulting to me, but also to my competision!!! not to mention v123 and even the production company that posted the audition. The production company that hired me Loves my jingle by the way. They even warned me that this client was very picky. Although I've been posting for a long time. I just recently joined v123. I believe this was my 3rd or 4th audition. I wonder how many others have those stats. (knock on wood that I keep them).

Finally I would like to come up with some words that start with B.
Beautiful
Beginnings
Better
Bubbly
Boys
Bragging
Busy
Bumper
Big
Boobs
Bouncing Back
Bouyant (not sure how to spell that)
Brave (Which is my personal favorite at the moment)

Thanks Max,
I knew my voice was special when I was in kindergarden and was one of the 10 kids who was chosen to sing and perform with the 5th graders. My best friend was not chosen and I felt bad for her. She handled it well though and we still got together after school to watch Big Bird on tv.

Then there was all that musical theater, not to mention delivering singing telegrams all over Houston. I'm sure glad I'm not still running the karaoke machine at the Hungry Hepher. I used to get into arguments with my boss there. He wanted me to wear a mini skirt every night, even on the coldest winter night of the year.

I don't just sing either I write music too. I have trouble with accompaniment though. I don't know the piano and my organ broke years ago. I'm not sure the chords on an organ would be good for a computer jingle anyway. LOL Very Happy

I've paid my dues as singer and I deserve the success that I get.

Deby,

Let me be the first to say to say you do deserve the jingle jobs you get. I am a Professional Musician and i hear singers all the time and nothing tells me that you're not meant to sing a jing and then some.

You have a nice talent! Cool Cool

Thanks Anthony,
The critics liked me when I performed in Madame Butterfly so I think a 5 second jingle is with in my talent range. It was really hard making my round eyes look japanese though. I wish they would have let me keep the silk kimono though. It was so beautiful. Very Happy

Sid.....I think they are looking for a sound that sounds slightly digital. Perhaps something thats sounds like the computer beeps on those high tech washing machines with a bit of the more normal sound of the "pentium computer" 4 note thing. I'm sure you heard that pentium 4 note thing. They add it to every commercial that sells something with a pentium chip in it.

I know this was a while back, but I just got an email from the production company and it looks like they are going to chose the one with Sid's guitar work on it. Thanks Sid.
