Mirzam narration

As narrations go, this one was small, but gratifying. I post it here for two reasons - -

First, I know many of us like to know that SOMEONE landed the V123 gig and they're not all dead-ends.

Second, as a reminder that some jobs languish before bearing fruit. This one goes WAY back. Weeks and weeks ago. And only now have I finally done the project.

Anyone remember the Golf Digest? A week or two after the aud I got a nice email saying I was the "top contender" and they'd get back to me. A New York agency... national radio and TV. I was thrilled. Session to be done July 9th. So... I hear nothing. I email a month or so later... "still on." Another month... nothing. One more time, same deal... "still on, thanks for keeping in touch." Here it is September... nothing.

Sometimes I think these people are just playing with me.

Way to go Allen! Sorry for the slight jack, just that you were mentioning months going by and all.

Congrats on the gig! Super pleasant read. Reminds me of a friend of mine who is doing over a quarter of a million dollars a year in this business.

Colin - I know what you mean...really. I've been a "top contender" for a few of them here and then they seem to die a slow death. I'm up for one right now that is simply awesome if it happens. But I will not count those chickens until they fully hatch.

So MUCH can happen behind the scenes in the project development process. For example, today's "top contender" male voice can quickly turn into a "female preferred" at the whim of someone in the decision chain.

Deby - Yes, I added the music for our listening, but I submitted the audition and the project dry. The music is similar to what they used on the video.

It always seems that the jobs that we land and get posted here are the ones where the copy is perfect for the talent.
