Well, my audition for Mr. Ed is so far down on submissions that the client will no doubt develop ear cramps before ever having a listen to what I came up with. But I do remember Mr. Ed and Wilbur from them golden years of cut-up TV comedy. so here we go:

Who was it that did Mr. Ed? I keep thinking it was Chill Wills.

Nice to hear you having some obvious fun there, Ron. Thanks for the out-takes.
The aud was pretty close to the other also-rans; I'd agree that Colin C may have beat us to the finish line. The client - bless his horsehide - has "treated" 100% of the entrants.

To mine ears, your opening slate is a trifle long. Have you considered moving it to the end, where - if they've hung in that long - the Seekers would be more attentive to it?
And you did turn Mr. Ed a little belligerent there: I think it was "flight animal". Didja drop the 'L' maybe?

Voice On!

Thanx Robert for the listen! I changed flight to fight as it was suggested that instead of watermarking the audition that I it would be better to change part of the script. Should I not do this?

Will shorten the slate ... thanx again for the advice.

tidings,
Ron

Oh, absolutely, Ron...but only when the audition is a full text. In the Mr. Ed case, this was only part of the project, so the Seeker is unlikely to make off with our golden nuggets.

Stealth On!

I was early in on that one (for a change.) Haven't heard a word yet. Thanks Robert.

Prrrety good horrrrsey interpretation, Christian.

I, too, am hoping they're looking less for a Mr. Ed impersonator (as they requested) and more for a general equine sound.

That might make this whinny-er.

I can't decide who's MR ED is best, but I do want to point out that the first part of the script is a little factoid about horses the last two sentences are very important. It's basically the product and even more importantly it's a bit of a little joke. There's probably an equal number of male and female horses at this place but, studly Mr Ed is only talking about the fillys or is it fillies. Mr Ed even thinking that he's studly with that voice is rather funny. Now not everyone knows that a filly is young female horse, but some of you did. If you get the job I hope you make the most of the small amount of humor that is there. Very Happy

John, I thought that was very "outdoorsy, wide open country, thick steak" good. Well done. And you got ColoRADo (like a native).

Nice read, John. I must correct the pronunciation of Pinon. It should read as PIN-yun (like the tree/bush).

Also, the script forgets to mention that Canon City is the home of a high security prison with pretty heavy duty criminals. That could be a good thing.....lots of women living in the area with their husbands locked up....Confused

Actually, I love Canon City. My husband was a raft guide on the Arkansas and Royal Gorge 18 years ago or so.

Ok, guys..... quit horsen around! lachtot Sorry, couldn't help myself.

There were many really good horsey reads, but I have to agree I like Colin's the best.

FYI: Mister Ed was voice by Allan Lane
