I can't believe I'm actually writing these words... but: I GOT A GIG!!!
Yesterday, a seeker contacted my through TOS, regarding a translation-thing on a corporate training video project. At first I actually believed it to be spam, but, whattayaknow - it wasn't!
In less than 24 hours, we negotiated the price, I received the script, did the read (626 words) in the middle of the night, returned it, and received my payment via PayPal...!
The best part is, that this could be a repeated gig, as the seeker has more coming in of this type of Danish translatation jobs...!
So why am I so excited about it?
Lemme tell ya, when I signed up to V123 less than two month ago, it was simply because I wanted to participate in the Savvy-community. Sure, I did write a V123 profile and added a demo - not to would've been plain stupid. Then, Savvy let me to TOS, so I registered there, too. But I never expected it to actually pay off.
And now.. I HAVE A GIG, MAN!!!! 
At the risk of sounding like an Academy Award-winner, I really would like to thank ALL of you, who has encouraged and inspired me, since I found V123 and TOS. I've learned so much and have made some highly regarded friends, too. THANK YOU! 
(but what the heck... I FEEL LIKE AN OSCAR-WINNER!!!  )

That is super, Jacob -- well deserved! (Savvy led me to TOS as well, where I also recouped my membership fee very quickly.) Being multi-lingual is a great plus and I'm sure it will serve you well in the future. We are truly involved in a global enterprise.

I know, it's just a gig, but it's so funny for me getting it. I mean, a read in Danish, from an American seeker - how cool is that!!?

Woohoo! I love jobs that pay quick  Unfortunately- I haven't had one in a while (a quick paying gig that is). Usually I'm more of a collections agency than a VO!
