Do you hear that????? It' the Hallelujah chorus!!!!

At last I got a gig...and it's doosey! I was asked to be the 911 operator in an upcoming movie...
It's called Remarkable Power starring Kevin Nealon and Tom Arnold...
I was so skeptical at first but the director called me,,,I was actually at Borders Books when he called...I was so thrilled! He liked my 911 audition....
I'm trying not to be too excited because I could end up on the cutting room floor but I've already been paid so who knows... the good news it he liked it enough to pay for it...
I hope this encourages other newbies...hang in there keep learning ...keep doing...try not to get too caught up in getting gigs and just enjoy the journey...

I'd like to thank everyone in the Voice123 forum who took the time to help me...(that's my speach for the Acadamy Awards Show) Maybe September could MC it Very Happy

Marilyn, let me be the first (of MANY, I'm sure!) to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's very, very, very cool! So this was a voice123 lead? Now will we only hear your voice? And not see you? If so, you need to send that director a picture right now and say "HEY BUDDY!!!" Wink

Post the winning audition so we can hear it.

Ok SCOTT YOU ASKED FOR IT BUT I MUST WARN.... IT IS THE MOST BORING 1:20 YOU WILL EVER LISTEN TO. I BASICALLY SAY THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER...
THEY ASKED ME TO READ IT THE FIRST TIME 'VERY OFFICIAL' AND SLIGHTLY ANNOYED... AND THEN READ IT AGAIN A LITTLE MORE 'WORRIED' BUT NOTHING TOO FAR IN EITHER DIRECTION...

YES, THIS WAS A VOICE123 LEAD. IT ACTUALLY CAME IN QUITE SOME TIME AGO AND THEY HAVE BEEN USING THE AUDITION FOR PRODUCTION.AND NOW THEY SOUND LIKE THEY ARE GETTING CLOSE TO COMPLETION AND THE DIRECTOR SCOTT SAMPILA (SP?) CONTACTED ME...

That is fantastic! Whether it's serendipity or the workings of SC at V123 it's a great gig and that's what matters. When you're perfect for something -- what does it matter? I am so happy for you!!! Hope this puts you on a roll... and we can enjoy the ride with you.

Marilyn.... first... THAT IS GREAT... WONDERFUL! Voice 123 can be sneaky. As we go through aud after aud, buried in there are some big ones and we don't usually realize it when we are doing them. It pays to be on our toes on all auds because you just never know when there is a real good one buried in the confidentiality.
