Hey September! Great job - and I'm glad you mentioned that you did a zillion different reads for them - it demonstrates what a pro you are, and that vo isn't just "having a nice voice". It's about TALENT!!!!
Jobs like this are often just what we need to give us the boost to keep going - so keep going!

I add my congrats to all those posted here and also just want to tell everyone thank you for your numerous emails to me, most of the privately, some agreeing with my "warning" about not doing national big name spots for lowballers...thus hurting us all. Others disagreed with me and that's fine. This question will be debated always so have at it. I will not voice for no money nor will I encourage my students to do so! That's one thing that Smartcast says it wants to do...make it better for all to "choose" what we audition for. That's good. While I enjoy not only 123 but the other similar vo sites and also the voiceover job leads that come from visibility on my own site, www.voicesvoices.com, some of the leads are good ones while others are people who want my talent and my recording studio expertise and audio production services for pennies. They don't get me for nothing. I'm worth money! Stick up for your worth, everybody and God speed!

Every one of you who has hijacked this thread and continued to rant and rail on about 'giving it away' are utterly, totally clueless about what she might have made off of it. You're all just making assumptions while stealing her thunder and taking what SHOULD have been a celebration of a killer read on an AWESOME project, and turning it into a pre-supposed ASSumption of what SHE should have done.

Sorry, but I'm pretty p.o'd about this.
Let me say that in my years of vo I've NEVER gotten close to what she made on this project for the amount of work involved.

Now you all apologize to 'Ember, and go start your own thread so SHE can come over and tell YOU what you should be charging.

I watched your YouTube several times and realized what it was about it...the read they chose sounded dreamlike and futuristic and exotic..? wrong word there...but you did great.
