I'm sorry about this sad turn of events-- I was so excited for you. Hang in there, my friend. Another one is around the corner for sure.

Thanks Randy. It's really no big deal. We win some...we lose some.
It was one of the "other producers" that made the choice, not the one who contacted me in the first place. I was told I'm still in line for other projects with the company. Luck of the Draw!

How frustrating to be told one thing, then have it turn out like this! As "actors" we just have to keep plugging along to have what you say you want turn out. My experience has been when something like that disappointment happens, something else better turns up. My first audiobook was "supposed" to be Bill Bennet's "America - The Last Best Hope" unabridged at something like 1500 pages...the client decided a "rookie" probably couldn't do such a tome, and cancelled on me...as it turned out I get VERY sick right when I would have been reading, which would have put them in a production bind...they were happy with my professionalism and patience and I did 4 other books for the client instead...Keep clear on your vision, and it'll turn out! (<-------my unrequested platitude to hopefully encourage somone who is "down" today!) A platitude, and it's true!

On several occasions, including here on Voice123, I have auditioned for a project, not gotten it, and subsequently been hired to do a totally different project, based on my failed audition for the original project. Go figure.
