A good while ago we had the "Hell Drivers" documentary film audition. I landed that one Friday. Probably record in my studio next Wed & Thurs. I deleted the actual audition I sent in but will post the real-deal later. Being a "commercial" guy this is a first for me so just wondering what price range I should pursue. Total of 15 pages...dry read. That's all I know att. Anyone help me out here? Ballpark? Amy, Robert, Colin, Scott P., Thom? Thanks........

I remember the audition well...it smoked, Sid.
Well done on landing it.

Fifteen pages is some 20 - 30 minutes finished narration. It's a documentary film, which means you must consider a buy-out.

Unionized, you're talking some $1500-$2000, so I'd make a humble suggestion you call it 5 x 30 minutes in actual recording time (2.5 hours; your call - I'd go $200/hr for a $500 fee) with a 125% buyout for a total of $1125.

Again; you do us proud...

Then to heck with the buyout, Sid.

Thats pretty much in-line with what I was GOING to ask for. They told me to call them, which I did about 2wks ago, to discuss the fee. I told him I wasn't sure BUT it wasn't going to be no $500. I got a few seconds of silence after that but then he chimed back in and said "that's fine". I really want to land one of these film deals. Trying to get out of my "box" if you know what I mean. Something new....Something different.

Oh man, Sid... that SO SUCKS! Crap. I truly hate that for you. But it must mean that God is clearing out your schedule to allow you time for an even BIGGER opportunity coming your way. Best wishes, my friend.

Sorry to hear that Sid.

I listened to your demo at your site. If they called to tell you "we're going with the other guy", I can't imagine what sort of "voice of God" he's got.

Based on the job details and listening to your voice, you would be perfect for the gig.

Stick around, more to come for you and great voices such as yours.

Best to ya,

Randy Stewart
