I have a character voice (I'll post it tomorrow), that's not a Signature Character or pointedly identifiable as Jane Cartoonygal. It's a late-middle-aged, tired-of-nagging-her-husband, lives-across-the-hall, probably-boils-cabbage-daily, world-weary woman. Probably from New York.
How the heck can I use this great character of mine in a demo? Where can I find a script for that? I'm tempted to find some romance novel and just read that as "Edna"... Maybe I should find a Preparation H package and read that. |

Hi Amanda,
I find that magazine ads are a great source of copy... Movie and TV scripts arn't bad either.
You may want to think of choosing copy that is the opposite of what your character would read, such as something chipper, young and upbeat.
It makes for an interesting contrast, IMHO.
Post away and we'll have a listen,
