Read the posts here re: IVR telephone messaging companies and prices etc. Good stuff. I own a telephone message firm I started about eight months ago. Visit www.yourphonevalet.com to see the site which is still a work in progress, I admit I have little or no time to build it further, but it's up and you also can hear vo talents I use and some of my telephone work and theirs. The other day, I got a call from a former student of mine and she gave me a great idea: She knows a person who prices his telephone message work like this: A lump sum when the business hires him and then, he goes in and does new messages for the client firm twice, three times, four times, or six times peryear...obviously the more times he has to script and then record the messages, the bigger the lump payment he gets. He also will divide that lump payment into thirds or fourths spaced throughout the year. I am going to start pricing my phone jobs this way! His lump prices range from $2500 to $5500. Good thought.
