I'm trying to get into VO's. I have a Mac G5 and Garage Band, but need a microphone.
USB seems to be best option. Has anybody had experience with this mic?
Also need advice for a home studio. Thanks.

An MAudio interface will work for you. (go firewire) ....There is the student package:

http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ClassroomStudio-main.html

But it's all preference, the above sounds like the best option for you. M-audio does have live sales support so before buying call them so they can help match your needs according to you your machine and what ever else you are going to be doing. Some interfaces come with protools

How much ram and hard disk space do you have, what sort of ports on this G5, what is the processor speed what OS is it running?.

If you had come here sooner you could have gotten an interface someone was selling on the forum.

Just get a pop filter:

Oh, and a mic stand too:

http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemPos=22&TempID=3&STRID=9057&Method=2&CategoryID=0&BrandID=0&PriceRangeID=0&PageNum=2&DepartmentID=0&pagesize=10&SortMethod=4&SearchPhrase=mic+stand&Contains=%2Amic%2A+AND+%2Astand%2A&Search_Type=SEARCH&GroupCode=

http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemPos=17&TempID=8&STRID=85448&Method=2&CategoryID=0&BrandID=0&PriceRangeID=0&PageNum=1&DepartmentID=0&pagesize=10&SortMethod=4&SearchPhrase=mic+stand&Contains=%2Amic%2A+AND+%2Astand%2A&Search_Type=SEARCH&GroupCode=

Once you get set-up take a course so you can practice at home. Don't get discourgaed in the beginning as you work away at developing your craft.

You'll find other solutions here on the forum. This is just one.

USB's a good place to start, but you may need more to get production quality audio.

I've heard good things about the Snowball, and with Garage Band you should be able to tweak the final audio to your liking.

Best of luck,
