Hi all. Newbie trying to make a go of it here--I am working on upgrading my membership here, but am a little concerned with the new smart-cast system they'll be implementing soon...I'd hate to pay for membership, and then end up not getting any audition invitations because of my profound lack of experience!

Anyway, nice to meet you all. Hope we all become rich and fulfilled... Wink

Rich? Don't hold your breath (but never stop trying).

Fulfilled? Absolutely.

That nothing to worry about, the new system is being develop with the idea of giving all talents greater possibilities of landing gigs. Of course quality and talent are going to be important for this success.
We believe Voice123 can be a great marketing tool for any talent looking for exposure.

If you feel insecure about the lack of experience, what we recommend is to find yourself a good voice Coach; they are the ones in charge of helping you built your confidence and skills.

There are many talents in this forum that might be able to help also.

Best of luck, we hope to see you around.

I wouldn't let that concern you Jeanine. If you're new just practice, practice, practice. Read aloud when you can, take notes on what's running on TV, and what types of voices are being used. Know the top VO artists now, LaFontaine, Daily, Jarrett, etc.. Best to you.

Pax
