Check out this tip I just got from a friend:

"Both men and women voice talent are urgently needed for a brand new live competition. Think American Idol meets the high stakes competitive world of professional voice actors....."

Can anyone even imagine how this would work? We sometimes complain about "the competition" but now we can really be IN COMPETITION!

Methinks this has bad idea written all over it.

Contestant Brie Jarlsberg said "I really wanna act and dance and sing and write my own songs and direct my own movies but voice overs are important to my creer too. Wearing the right top and no bra in the first show got me 40% of the viewer votes - Thanks Mom and Pop and Uncle Roy fer that. I already gotta call from a voice agent in LA, he's taking me to dinner and has set up a special studio in a motel room. I'm real excited and am gonna get what's comin' to me fer sure".

Alright kids, just in case anyone is interested in this thing, I just got an email from these folks and it just keeps getting weirder.

voice over Talent,

Due to an overwhelming response to our voice over reality casting we need to ask potential applicants a few simple questions to narrow down the proverbial field. T hank you for taking the time to complete our short questionnaire. The competition will be your chance to get a coveted spot in the Phuck the Phringe Phestival. Additionally, please attach headshots or include links to current photographs with you're completed application.

1. Will you be in the New York area on the evening of June 7 and availed to perform/compete?

2. Please list 5 or 10 different accents/wacky/religious voices you have in your repertoire. List from strongest to weakest.

3. Who are your "idols" in the feild of voice-over, or as it is also known off camera commentary.

4. In terms of your personality do you rate yourself as an extrovert or an introvert? are you happy or sad? if you were placed in a social situation, like a house, with other voice over actors how would you interact with them?

5. If you do take home the Golden Lauffy Caffy and get an oppurtunity to perform your talents at Phuck the Phringe Phestival, would you brag endlessly or just kind of take it in stride knowing the road is long for voice over workers?

6. Quick: Favorite Saturday Night Skit

7. What is your vocal range?

8. which is funnier olive loaf or pope benedict XVI?

9. To ensure we have tailored the best script for you could you give a brief explanation of you motivation when doing voice overs?

10. Lastly, if you could be on any reality television show, what would it be and why?
