Hello everyone... Newbie here... I've got sufficient equipment to get started but need to know where to go from here. I've also downloaded some pulic domain copy to practice on...

Hi, wecome to the forum. My best advice to you is the Nike slogan. Just do it. Post it and ask people to be nice when commenting on it.
Seasoned pros often have harsh critism on here when listening to beginners.
