Private leads?

just wondering.. are private leads rare?
With the exception of today, I have received one every day since my profile was up, and none of them were from jobs that I have auditioned for. Some of them are for projects that I am either not really interested in or not equiped to do. Would I be stupid if I tell them I am not interested? Am I lucky to get them in the first place?
and is this something I should not expect in the future?
Does anyone else turn down private leads?

Hey Chris,

In my experience, private leads have come only from the auditions I have done. What the hell are you doing to get that many privates and how did they find you. I have received one unauditioned private in the year and a half I have been a paying member.

I think you would be a fool to turn down any paying gig at this point in your career unless you are unable or unwilling to proceed.

Well that answers my question,
I guess they find me through search, with out any keywords and just narrowing down by gender , age , and language I am on page 13.
also I guess I have pretty memerable demos and resume as well.
and I look pretty hot in my head shot too lol
Thing about it is, these gigs seem to be for pretty large projects that would take all day to do. I guess I could try quoting them some pretty hefty rates , and maybe take some time off my day job.

100% of the private leads I have gotten have had nothing to do with an audition I've submitted. I would be ecstatic to receive as many as you do! But, of course, you should politely decline if they are not suited to you.

I would take a good look at my profile if I were you to see if there is something in it that is attracting unsuitable leads.

Chris....I receive a fair amount of Private leads....not one a day by any means....(Keep it up bro...lol), but none of them have anything to do with any audition I've submitted. They find me through the search function. This is how I get my work through this site. I have never won an audition...all my work comes through private leads. That's why the search function is so important to me and I hope V123 never gets rid of that. There was talk or concern about this a while back...but I believe V123 realizes the value of the search function.
