Ok
I've taken classes. I got my demo. Now I want to brand my image! But what graphics should I put on my cover???
I have the young chearleader voice
or the more grown up sexy voice
or the more grown up soothing massage voice.
which one do I represent on the cover and how do I visually get that message across as advertising to advertising professionals.
You guys know my personality and have heard my voice. Any suggestions?

| Ahhhh.... you must've taken the webinar today. I thought it was quite interesting. I wish I could help you out but I'm just not good at that sort of thing. I'm sure someone will be along to help you out with that one. By the way, I never would've come up with the examples they had in the webinar-- They were perfect but I know I could never come up with anything like that.

Okay Deby, I've got an idea for you. I was trying to figure out the same thing for myself and I thought I'd NEVER in a MILLION years come up with anything. Well, ya know what? I DID! I just thought about it before I went to sleep, then at 4 am it came to me-- like AHA!!
I'm sorry to say I won't divulge what I'm doing (I've only got one idea in me and I don't want it duplicated) but what if you try that?
Think about who you are-- all parts of you and just kind of sleep on it. I know it sounds lame but it just might work for you. I'm hoping it will.
Good luck-- it'll come to you!

You could always use an avatar of Pamela-Lee in one of her "balloon" periods. Yes, it's sexist and demeaning and has nothing to do with Talent, but that stuff works!
Whaddya mean "Thanks, anyway!"...?

This is actually harder than the demo itself. How do you market this corporation called you????
Well, first off, don't market your sound. Market your personality. The sound of your voice is only part of your brand. A cheerleader/sexy/soothing "voice" is a dime a dozen. And no one needs another!! Trust me, from those represented by the top VO agents in LA and NYC, to the zillions out there in the e-world, this business has all the voices it needs. What it doesn't have is YOU. Your heart, your personality, your personal brand that makes your cheerleader/sexy/soothing reads different from anyone else's.
What sets you apart?? What is it you are bringing to the table that no one else is? What sets you apart and makes them notice??? And how do you see your own uniqueness being branded to set you apart from everyone else?
I know I've not given you any answers. I can't. No one can but you. Think about it. Like Dina said, it will come to you.
Just PLEASE don't use a mic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob....I agree with you about the over used mic......however there is an excellent example of a website using a mic...in fact, all it is , is a mic. It was showcased at voice 2007 as an excellent example of a great website....however...this is not the norm......Mike has the talent to support the use of the mic as presented on his site.....if anyone would like to see this website go to......
Excellent website
This website is simple....very easy to navigate and you never leave the main page.

Actually, this is a good example of using a mic where it sorta works. That said, the image gives the impression of a "smokey brit" type of sound. When you explore further it's described as "clear. natural. warm," which it is. This is an excellent demo/talent. But I wouldn't think his brand would be warm with a smoke filled mic. That said, it's obviously done well for him based on the amount of clients he has. And he deserves em! He's great!
This is the danger of asking people to comment on demos, marketing, etc. Everyone will have a different opinion. And you can't change with each opinion. Eventually you just have to go with your guy.

I'm not using a mic. Studio executives are borred with it. Agents are borred with it. I'm borred with it. I suppose some clients may not be borred with it, but I don't even have a announcer type voice.
I do have a idea, but now I need to find a good artist or a good photographer.

Yeah, an origial sketch or logo would be good. I like some of the ones I've seen here (even a few with a mike in it...)
