Ok, since I'm still battling the cold I got from Scott P, here's a little diversion for all us sickies...

This is a film made for Disney back in 1979 by Mike Jittlov - a really super pioneer in special effects and stop motion:

Enjoy,
Joe

Yeah, he's something George.

I met him briefly at a Sci-Fi convention back in the 80's.
Really a driven guy.

He got this made on his own, without being in any unions.
Quite a feat for the time it was made.

There's even a movie about him making the film...

Pretty tame by today's standards, but amazing to think that was 30 years ago!
At the time, I was still dubbing piano tinkling to silent movies....

Walla On!

Very interesting.....but I hate this misconception guys have about being "fast"

Robert I'm a big fan of silent movies! The last one I watched was the silent movie of the Hunchback of Notra Dame. Also, near by in Shelton, CT the local high school as an antique pipe organ that was made for silent films. I just thought that was so cool.

Silently typing away (with organ music)
Deby
or should I say

Shhhhh On

Deby, Deby, Deby.

No voice actor should ever confess to a weakness for silence. TSK, TSK.
It's like a nymphomaniac admiring virginity.

And, speaking of antique orga....oh, never mind!

Vice On!

Well I was a camera actress first.... Embarassed

(sings video killed the radio star)

I think I got my penchant for B&W films when I was a little girl and there were only 5 channels on tv and I would sneek out of my bed and watch them when my parents thought I was sleeping. Cary Grant was my favorite. Well once you get hooked on B&W. The next step to silent is really easy

Your just too funny, Robert....antique organ.....well I guess if you can still play in tune......you can still make overtures Wink

Joe,

That just blows me away. 30 years ago that was probably equivalent to today's Superman III. (Actually, I thought this was much more entertaining that Superman III...) schlafen Incredible talent!

Deby,

Have you ever seen the original silent B&W Phantom of the Opera? One of my favorites!

I had that on VHS, and transferred it over to DVD.
Great film!
