Thanks for the lead to that great 1975 clip....that man could VOICE IT. What a presence.
But you know he wouldn't run the table at V123, right?
His auds would be rejected for car dealer spots, special event announcements, political ads, telephone answering, just to name a few.
Even Orson Wells wouldn't get them all, so keep plugging, everyone...

Welles ROCKS! I also like the guy's voice that narrated this piece. Wonder what his name is. I hear him a lot on these older pieces.

I posted the Orson Wells session under a new topic in "The Pros" forum along with another one from Colonel Sanders and Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis. By the way thats Orson Wells saying "No Money Is Worth This" at the end of the session......not the director (producer). Check em out!!

I still believe that you can be talented and nice to work with. He was great, but to tell you the truth I like the way others here have read that same script about aliens better.
Today he would compete against Don Fountain and others and perhaps he would be replaced. Even big names have to compete against big names. He was doing commercials for fish. That is probably why he was in such a mood. You do have to wonder why someone so great would even do commercials for fish.
I myself would love to work with the Gordon Fisherman, but I don't have a big name.
Vocally Yours

Just me catching up on old threads again.
This one reminded me of some of the bloopers you can hear at Marc Graue's page: http://www.fixinthemix.com/Past-voice-over-Outtakes.htm
If you don't already know of these, they are hillarious! And there's some pretty well-known voices among them... _________________ Regards,

Whoops. Sorry Jacob. I did not realize that this had already been posted. Thanks for taking this thread out of the grave and pointing that out.

HUH??!
EDIT: Ahhhhhh!!! Now I get it... seriously, that was PURELY coincidental! I was redirected to the "Just for fun"-thread from another thread, and hadn't seen your new "Orson-thread" at all! But glad to be of service, anyway! _________________ Regards,
