Hi everyone. So I have an audition this week for an animated festival movie trailer. They asked me yesterday when scheduling the audition what my rates are to which I really had no answer and told them I'd discuss it with them on Friday when I have a better idea of what the project involves.

Anyways, anyone have any suggestions? I believe this will be character work. It was originally advertised as looking for voice actors for an animated short. They said they're trying to get it to use at major film festivals (Cannes, etc).

I really appreciate your input.

Anyone? Bueller? I have no idea where to start with something like this as I've never done a trailer before.

I have no idea either, but I'll post. It usually gets some more lookers at your topic.

If you get no feedback, try to figure out how much time you will spend. Apply a rate you will be happy with the multiply it by 1.5. It is a good estimators trick.

I was just wondering on average what rates were for this sort of project. Found out it was actually for an animation, not a tradition trailer so I already had my rates set out. I had just never been asked to do a movie trailer so I had no idea where to start!
