Hi everyone

Its great to have a place where I can talk to voice actors, hopefully develop a sense of community and somewhere I can go to for advice and inspiration.

I'm from Northern Ireland orginally I've been living in Birmingham, United Kingdom for 10 years now. I think I always wanted to be a voice actor but haven't really trodden the path until now. I'm soon to complete an acting course at the Birmingham Theatre School, which was the only kind of acting course I could do here. It helped achieve the main thing I set out to which was to establish that I wanted to focus on this as my lifes ambition.

I better stop myself there, I'm sure I'm going to get alot out of reading though the forums.

Yeeaahoooo I'm the first to say WELCOME TO THE CULT!! err woops I meant ClUB! haha We're all good people here. Heard your animation demo which was pretty cool. You'll learn a ton by posting your auditions in demo of the day. Also if you want feedback on your demos, post them in voice over idol. Lookin' forward to what you'll bring to the table.

The acting course is a great idea, and something that's beneficial throughout your career. I take improv and perform weekly to keep my edge "honed", as it were.

Welcome, from sunny Fort Myers, FL!

I just became a citizen of Ireland! Was just approved three weeks ago. I applied via citizenship by descent - both of my grandparents on my mother's side were born and raised in Ireland. Don't know what I'm going to do with my citizenship... just got it b/c I could! It was fun tracing the geneaology.

You said you were from Northern Ireland orginally? Where? Our family is part of a peace group called the Ulster Project-- we bring teens in from Derry & Londonderry (same place-- I'm sure you know-- ahh, the troubles) to the US to help facilitate tolerance & understanding. My girls just went there over Christmas-- so, Belfast has the best shopping? My girls also said the pubs are outstanding.
