Hello All,
In the past three years I have all but given up finding a good agent to represent me and get me the type of work I've been looking for (i.e. Cartoon/Charater Voice work). I recently sent a demo with a friend whose daughter-in-law is signed with angency in New York(Atlas). She has been able to get great work from her agent and I am hoping to get the same guy but I am not putting all my hope into that one person. So what I really want to know is....does anyone know where I can find a good agent? I find it drepressing to think that my work is still for the most part going un-noticed.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and remembered.
Cheers guys...... Jason

Hello Jason,
Unfortunately we are not in a position to recommend any agents, but here’s a link to one of our forums regarding a related topic:

Hey Jason!
My advice to ya if you haven't already done so is to locate agents in your area, send out your demo, and then follow up. Then, try doing a mass mailing of your demo to agencies across the US. I bet you'll get some good leads. May not be Atlas, or William Morris, but it's a start.
cheers,
Pax

| My wife has recently broke into the VO industry, and has been quite successful- by contacting TV stations and studios directly. I do not currently have an agent, and when I did, I was not well represented. My advice is to become as self reliant as possible - first-get a track record-submit your demos and represent yourself. Then, if you need an agent, you will be more valuable and they will take you more seriously-then YOU can pick and choose!
